Providing Urgent Care Physiotherapy from May 19th

We will be open for URGENT physiotherapy care from Tuesday, May 19th.

All patients will be screened before booking an in-person appointment and on the day of appointment before the in-person session. Staff on each shift will be screened as well for the following:

Q1- Is the person presenting with a fever, new onset of cough, worsening chronic cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing?
Q2- Did the person have close contact with anyone with acute respiratory Illness or travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
Q3- Does the person have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Q4- Does the person have two or more of the following symptoms?

-Sore throat
-Hoarse voice
-Difficulty swallowing
-Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell
-Chills
-Headaches
-Unexplained fatigue/malaise
-Diarrhea
-Abdominal Pain
-Nausea/vomiting
-Pink eye
-Runny nose/sneezing without other known cause
-Nasal congestion without other known cause

Q5- If the person is 65 years of age or older, are they experiencing any of the following symptoms: Delirium, unexplained or increased number of falls, acute functional decline, or worsening of chronic conditions?

Appointment will be booked and completed only If the responses to all of the screening questions is No.

Our team is closely monitoring the situation as it evolves and will continue to follow the recommendations of all official agencies.

As per this directive we will be implementing the following:

  • Providing urgent care only
  • Ensuring proper hand hygiene and appropriate personal protective health equipment
  • Using best practices for infection control
  • Practicing Physical distancing- Online booking/phone booking, touch-less check-in, online payments or tap payments

At Lifecare Physiotherapy, we will be implementing all of the above suggested measures to reduce the potential spread of this virus. We will be open only for emergent cases, as recommended by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
